Club & Squad Training Sessions

Our members get together throughout the week for formal and informal training sessions which cover all levels. Whether you're new to triathlons or at an intermediate level, you are most welcome to join any session which suits you. There is a good social atmosphere and our experienced members at these sessions will be more than happy to provide tips on technique, training and fitness.

Note: Training sessions run by Mandurah Masters and Triathlon Endurance Training are external to the Mandurah Triathlon Club. Membership of either club is totally independent of Mandurah Triathlon Club.

Tuesday


Endurance Fitness Swim Session - 6am

These sessions are triathlon/endurance focused sessions coached by Brian Kempson from Endurance Fitness.

Where: Aqua Jetty, Warnbro - 50mtr Outside Pool.
Gather at the southern end of the pool.

When: Tuesday morning 6:00am till 7:00am

Cost: $5 + pool entry

What to bring: Swimming gear, water bottle, goggles, fins,(pool buoy and board)

NEW!!! Grass Track Run Session - 5pm NEW!!!



This will be a short, sharp session before the swimming session. The session will typically consist of a warm up, running drills and some 400m and 800m work at varying intensity's from week to week. Due to the nature of the program all levels of running are catered for.

Where: Rushton Park north, Dower St next to the Billy Dower centre

When: Tuesday evening 5:00pm till 5:50pm

Cost: Free!!

What to bring: Running gear, water bottle, towel, hat,
sunglasses, sunscreen

Mandurah Masters Swim Session - 6pm

Tuesday nights from 6pm till 7:15pm at Mandurah Aquatic Centre outside pool.
Session outcomes vary depending on season, but align well with the triathlon season as they tend to focus on the open water swim summer series at this time of the year.

Where: Mandurah Aquatic Centre ( MARC) - Outside Pool.
Gather at the Mandurah Masters Clubroom (near Toddler Pool).

When: Tuesday night 6:00pm till 7:15pm

Cost: Pool entry, Masters annual membership
New members welcome to come along and try a session first.

What to bring: Swimming gear, water bottle, goggles, fins, (pool buoy and board)

Endurance Fitness Swim Session 5pm

When: Thursday night 5:00pm till 6:00pm
Where: Aqua Jetty, Warnbro - 50mtr Outside Pool.

Mandurah Masters Swim Session 6pm

When: Thursday night 6:00pm till 7:15pm
Where: Mandurah Aquatic Centre ( MARC) - Outside Pool.

Friday


Splash & Dash - 6pm


Adult Splash & Dash - 300m ocean swim followed by a 2.2km or 4.4km run.

The Splash & Dash is a great way to test out the arms and legs ready for an upcoming triathlon. All members and non-members are encouraged to come down and give it ago!

The Junior Splash & Dash starts at 5:30pm with a short swim either in shallow water near the shore, or out to the pontoon and back, followed by a run of approximately 1km.

Where: Halls Head Beach, Halls Head Parade

When: Friday night 6:00pm. Juniors 5:30pm

Cost: Free!!

What to bring: Swimming and Running gear
(bathers or tri shorts, water bottle, goggles, runners, towel, hat, subglasses)

Saturday


Saturday Morning Cycle - 7am


This ride will be led by either Darryl or Elliott (0408074473) and will vary in distances from week to week depending on the course.... and the wind :-)

Where: Leave from Dome Cafe, Mandurah Terrace

When: Every Saturday morning 7am

Cost: Free!!

What to bring: Your bike!, riding gear (helmet, sunglasses, gloves etc), adequate drinks and nutrition, sunscreen before you leave.
Some rides will have an opportunity to stop and refuel.

Sunday


Swim Technique Training - 4pm

The focus in these sessions is on technique and stroke correction.

These sessions are great for those new to triathlons and also for those seasoned athletes who have slipped into some bad habits during the season or over the break.The sessions are of lower intensity to allow for skill development.

Where: Mandurah Aquatic Centre ( MARC) -
Outside Pool. Gather on the far side near the Mandurah Swim Club rooms.

When: Every Sunday 4:00pm to 5:30pm

Cost: Pool entry

What to bring: Swimming gear, water bottle, goggles, fins
