2009 Bright Eyes Sunglasses State Interclub Championship

The Presidents Cup has been won by Fremantle Tri Club.
The Rob Pickard Trophy has been retained by Stadium Tri Club.
Congratulations to Stadium on a great turnout, getting the great support of your members at the event is sure to retain the trophy each year. A great effort by Fremantle to claim the Presidents Cup for 2009.

Welcome to the 17th Annual State Interclub Championship.
The Interclub Championships were initiated by Mandurah triathlete Clive Choate with the idea of promoting club spirit and friendly rivalry, as well as recognising Rob Pickard, the Triathlon WA president who, for almost a decade, had contributed so much to the sport.
Two trophies are defended in the State Interclub Championship; the Rob Pickard Trophy and the President’s Trophy.
The Rob Pickard trophy is awarded to the team with the highest points tally at the end of the race. Each participant scores points for their club, so it is a good strategy to get as many participants from your club as possible competing in the event. Another strategy is to have as many female participants as possible.
The President’s Trophy is awarded to the club with the greatest point average. In order to qualify for this the club must have at least 10 participants.
